Nokia, the company that accounts for more than 35% of the mobile phone sales all over the world, recently announced that it is planning to launch a notebook  that includes features like touch screen and an internet tablet. There is definitely going to be a serious discussion on this issue at  “Apple” which manufactures MAC note books. Thought it accounts for about 2% of the market, some of the Nokia shares were stolen by the iPhone. There was 27% growth in the sale of high end phones with high capabilities almost equivalent to that of a computer in second quarter of the year.

Nokia’s CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, denied that Apple is responsible for the shift in the company’s strategy and he said that the company is only looking forward to enter into new markets. But these sudden announcements indicate that the company is affected by the dominance created by Apple through its famous iPhone, whose share rose from 3% to 13%  in the same quarter in the mobile market. Apple did not comment on the article.
